30 April / 1 May 2016 - BackBone CE Seminar
Equine Orthopaedic Balance®– Interdisciplinary Seminar for Vets and Farriers
Speaker: Darrall Clifford, Brisbane
This seminar is open for vets educated in osteopathy, chiropractic and/or acupuncture focussing on the equine patient. The invitation is open only for farriers already educated in the basic principles of Equine Orthopaedic Balance®. Based on decades of research, hoof specialist Darrall Clifford developed a unique method to explain the complex interrelations between a lack of hoof balance/hoof pathologies and disturbances in the musculo-skeletal system of the horse as a whole. He outlines resulting dynamic wear and tear patterns, leading to subluxations, false muscle development, pathology of tendons and joints and subsequently TMJ dysfunction and/or impaired cardio-respiratory function. Based on the knowledge presented in this seminar, vets gain a key to solve multiple orthopedic problems faced on a daily basis. Darrall Clifford´s principles of Equine Orthopaedic Balance® are designed to diagnose and treat the equine patient and are taught by this brilliant speaker in seminars and lectures throughout the world.
The goal of this seminar is to diagnose hoof imbalances in the equine patient, correlating hoof patterns to musculo-skeletal patterns. During the seminar, vets will be working together with farriers on the principles of Equine Orthopaedic Balance®, developing an interdisciplinary understanding of underlying imbalance patterns. It is about working together to gain long lasting treatment success!
